| AMY SHEEHAN - ILLUSTRATOR |
AMY SHEEHAN - ILLUSTRATOR Amy Sheehan is a young up-&-coming international freelance illustrator. Published in four children's books, with another two underway, Amy is commissioned regularly for illustrating projects both in Australia and New Zealand. Living between New Zealand, Australia and the US, she loves freeskiing, travelling, and foreign food.
Amy's other life competing as a freeskier at World Cup level and on the open circuit, gives her the opportunity to network globally. Based in Wanaka (Queenstown Lakes district) during the "downunder" winter, Amy commutes to Aspen Colorado for the northern hemisphere winter, and in between catches some Australian sun in Cairns.
With a fresh, positive joie de vivre, Amy is not afraid of working hard and giving her best, be it as an international athlete, or as a freelance illustrator. Amy has also authored a feature magazine article for New Zealand Skier Winter 2009 and a children's book of her own, flexibly combining writing and illustrating. |

2008 - Produced a set of wall graphics for a Cairns library.
2008 - Commissioned to do a children's book promoting Cardrona Alpine Resort, called Sam and Lily at Cardrona.
2009 - Illustrated and wrote sequel to the Cardrona book to follow up the success of the first.
Current: working on a fairytale children's book, and a graphic novel with writer Letizia De Rosa. Amy is committed to working closely with writers as publishing takes new directions, interpreting their work as creatively as possible. |
