BOOLARONG PRESS - BOOLARONG PRESS has celebrated over 30 years in publishing. It was established as a publisher in Queensland in 1978 motivated by the need for Queensland to have a local publisher dedicated to printing in Queensland.
Boolarong's first book to test the potential was a biography of Sir Manuel Hornibrook entitled A Man of Achievement by Waverley Browne. Hornibrook was the builder of the Sydney Opera House. This manuscript had been rejected by several southern publishers before being taken on by Boolarong Press. Since then Boolarong has published some 1,000 titles and reprints, most of Queensland origin including several North Queensland writers.
Boolarong was first to publish Noel Whittaker's Making Money Made Simple, which sold over 325,000 copies. Hayden Sargent's Power to Choose and our Bonsai series have proven very successful. Boolarong's Outback Alphabet and Outback Countout are sold Australia wide and overseas.
