CHERYLL-ANNE BOISSEVAIN - ASPIRING WRITER Introducing Cheryll-Anne Boissevain, an aspiring writer who tells her story in an auto-biography of hardship, tragedy and amazing love.
Her story begins in the troubled land of Zimbabwe in the 1950's. As a young child, living amongst the black Africans, Cheryll has an early introduction to the experience of abandonment when her parents place her in boarding school without letting her know why. Her father is suffering from alcoholism and has angry outbursts, which are very disturbing to the whole family.
When she is 8, she moves with her family to Denmark. She is brought up as a catholic and faces many disturbing experiences. Her father's alcoholism worsens and her mother spends years in a dark room suffering depression. Cheryll is thrown into caring for her 3 brothers and carrying responsibility too great for her young shoulders.
At the age of 16, her father decides the family will migrate to Australia. On board the ship, she enters in a dark phase of her life when she meets a man who is also alcoholic and is very abusive and she is raped.
Things do not improve for Cheryll for many years as she enters into marriage and motherhood with this disturbed and abusive man. This culminates with him killing their 2 children and killing himself in a tragic murder/suicide.
Follow Cheryll's life story as she moves from hopeless despair, nervous breakdown and wanting to suicide to a place of finding healing,understanding, forgiveness and peace.
Her story is one of tremendous courage and perseverance as she completely overcomes the challenges that not only affect her deeply but the families and friends involved in this tragic tale. In the spirit of "Never Give Up" Cheryll has moved to a place of inspiring others who are affected by the disease of alcoholism and violence to find peace and even happiness. |
