Date: 2009-05-31 12:21:27 Name: John Gordon Email: Kemu@westnet.com.au Antonino's Niche gives an insight into the plight of the civilians throughout Europe during the second World War far beyond anything that I have seen , heard or read. One only needs to pause for a moment or two to realize that stories similar to that of Antonino could have been told by millions throughout Europe. Letizia has , in this story of her father, given this nation a wake-up call. It is time to have a good look at the position of this country's ability to feed all of its people . So much land suitable for production of food has been lost to development or locked-up in environmental areas such national parks, world heritage, etc. This is a book that every Australian should read. Thank you, Letizia. John Ke Mu's Journey.

Date: 2008-10-07 08:09:36 Name: Maria Mulcahy Email: leesmull@hotmail.com I have read and own all three books written by this beautiful Author. Antonino's Niche came to me whilst I was studying an introductory Italian language course in Sydney-I especially enjoyed the little quotes and sentences in Italian! An exciting book I thoroughly enjoyed. What a tribute to her father-it makes me think of my own father and his family legacy... Conversations With My Mother was very moving and hit home for me-I could hear my own mother and felt the bond between her and I whilst I was reading (which was nice, as it was often on the bus on the way to work whilst living in Sydney, away from her) Mother's are a true gift, and a blessing to all. Thank God for Mothers! O My God, I Might Have To Smile is a little bed of sun jewels! What spirit and strength this Author has! Thank you Letizia, for sharing your gifts. Your books take pride of place on my bookshelf:) |

It is similar to "The Prophet" in many ways and I believe will become the next modern classic. Most gentle but thought-provoking read not just for women but men too! Annabella Sydney

I enjoyed reading it for many reasons: from the mid 50's on my parents took me to camping holidays in Italy almost every year, and I developed a love for the 'Italian way'. 'Antonino's Niche' not only took me back to Campagnia where I have been many times and experienced the local hospitality, food and beautiful sceneries; but also to the same places in Australia, where your father has tried to settle and make a living for himself and support his family in Italy. I migrated from Germany to Australia only 8 years ago but can confirm the difficulties to adjust to a culture that is completely different to our's and almost unknown to us. Your book is inspirational and encouraging. I look forward to read your other books, too. Best regards, Verena von der Heiden

Letizia writes in a smooth easy to follow style which is refreshing and made me feel I was really there. I felt I was going through the different emotions and being able to create a picture in my mind of the different locations.Keep up the good work Letizia. You are an inspiration to all women by your persistence and highlighting our true value and standing in society.I am currently reading Conversations with My Mother which I am thoroughly enjoying.Keep up the great work and I wish you all the best for the future.

Antonino epitomises for me the philosophy: "Fall 7 times, Get up 8" So inspiring! |
