BEN MARCUS - WRITER / ARTIST / ILLUSTRATOR Ben Marcus is an Australian writer/illustrator/artist of Dutch English descent. His love for writing and art are evident in his literary masterpieces: The Enchanted Rainforest (1984) and The Magic Shells: a tale of the Great Barrier Reef (1985). Ben Marcus brings the romance back into writing, skilfully marrying his artistic skills and the written word.
Both books were published in NSW by Angus & Robertson. Ben Marcus' first books were written and illustrated for English children's literature. They have been enjoyed and treasured as much by adults as by many school-aged children. Both of these beautifully illustrated books are superb reading and works of art. The colourful and meticulous illustrations depict life, a love of nature and all that is enchanting.
Ben Marcus' work is currently out of print. His work can be found and enjoyed in the libraries below. Please contact your library to borrow, view or study these life-long Australian literary treasures of children's literature and astounding artistic illustrations.
