| DR MARY CASOLIN'S POEM DEDICATION TO SHARYN ASHLIN AND BOOK CREATORS CIRCLE |
"FOR SHARYN ASHLIN CREATOR OF READER TO READER"
Inside I walked in wonder looking upwards At Sharyn's shelves packed to the brim with books On every topic, sad and joyous subjects, Verse and crime, romance and science projects.
In fascination I gazed upon the covers, Lost to the world, and those who strolled alone, Till there it was, my eye lit on the title, "The Books You Read," by Charlie E. "T." Jones.
Upon a shelf, a pile of Dostoyevskys Next to a priceless Bible, there in sight, In the shadow of a winged Ulysses, Blue Mountain butterfly, in ceaseless flight.
Nearby, glides calmly lithesome Sharyn, Helping readers to confirm their choice, Of selections not as yet acquired, Rare books for clients, who such bliss desired.
On the drive to Cairns we spoke together, Along the Bruce, as to the North we sped, Admiring Bartle Frere in balmy weather, Last days of Spring, with flame trees blushing red.
That is how our friendship grew and prospered, The cool handshake became a warm embrace, Soon by one another to be trusted, I feel at home with Sharyn's easy grace.
On that day we found new publications, Formed new friendships of supreme degree, None as comforting as Sharyn's presence, Her gentle care, and her affection free.
